Bermuda Lawn Care Program

Bermuda Lawn Care Program – Burleson, TX

Designed by Aaron Shehan, Practical Agronomist — based on real North Texas soil testing

Our 9-round Bermuda program is built for Burleson’s high-pH clay soils. We don’t use cookie-cutter products or cram visits together to hit a quota. Every application is custom-formulated for North Texas conditions, so you get deeper color, thicker turf, and healthier soil all year.

Our 9-Round Bermuda Program

Round 1 – Winter Weed Control

A liquid Specticle® pre-emergent stops tough winter weeds like annual bluegrass, rescue grass, and henbit before they emerge. Keeps your lawn clean through winter and ready for a healthy spring start.

Round 2 – Early Spring Protection

A liquid Specticle® pre-emergent combined with Nitrogen, Potassium, and our North Texas MicroPak for balanced early-season nutrition. Most companies skip fertilizer here—we don’t. Feeding the soil early produces a faster, thicker green-up and stronger weed defense as temperatures rise.

Round 3 – Spring Green-Up & Recovery

We apply our proprietary Gro Lawn Bermuda Blend 25-3-6 professional turf fertilizer, designed by Aaron Shehan using local soil test data. This blend includes humic acid to help improve micronutrient uptake in high-pH soils. [oai_citation:0‡Bermuda blend gro lawn with logo .pdf](sediment://file_00000000fdb4722f9c69b6d69b7d9cf0)

This round drives vibrant green color, dense turf, and strong recovery from winter dormancy while improving nutrient availability in Burleson’s alkaline clay.

Round 4 – Early Summer Color

A granular, slow-release application of our Bermuda Blend 25-3-6 with ammonium sulfate to slightly acidify the root zone and enhance nutrient absorption. Supports steady growth, strong roots, and rich green color as summer heat ramps up.

Round 5 – Mid-Summer Strength

Our custom slow-release proprietary blend keeps your lawn dense and green through Burleson’s hottest weather. Higher levels of potassium and key micronutrients improve water efficiency, drought tolerance, and stress resistance.

Round 6 – Late-Summer Recovery

A granular application of Aaron Shehan’s proprietary Bermuda blend restores vigor after summer stress. Encourages thick regrowth, better root health, and a smooth transition into fall.

Round 7 – Fall Weed & Broadleaf Control

A liquid Specticle® pre-emergent plus Avenue South for broadleaf weed control, combined with Nitrogen, Potassium, and our North Texas MicroPak. This round prevents fall weeds and cleans up late-season invaders like Asterweed and Spurge while feeding the turf before dormancy.

Round 8 – Winter Weed Prevention

A final Specticle® pre-emergent application locks out winter weeds such as annual bluegrass and rescue grass. We also spot-treat any breakthroughs to keep the lawn clean and uniform through winter and ready for early spring green-up.

Round 9 – Elemental Sulfur for Long-Term Soil Health

A granular elemental sulfur application is used to gently lower soil pH and improve nutrient availability in Burleson’s alkaline clay soils. This improves the effectiveness of every fertilizer round by helping your lawn naturally absorb more iron, phosphorus, and micronutrients over time.

Special Spring Program for New Customers

If you start with us in the spring, you won’t miss out on results. New Bermuda customers receive a special blended mix that includes both pre- and post-emergent weed control for:

  • Broadleaf weeds
  • Annual bluegrass
  • Rescue grass

Most companies only spray for broadleaf weeds and ignore grassy weeds like annual bluegrass and rescue grass. We treat both from day one, so you’re not fighting leftover winter weeds all season.

And if you start in April</strong), we won’t try to cram 9 applications on you before the end of the year just to hit a schedule. TruGreen® and Gecko Green® will. We space treatments properly so your lawn—and your wallet—are both treated fairly.
